Who We Are

Eradicating Illiteracy, Empowering Minds

Parvaaz Foundation is a Lucknow-based, volunteer-driven NGO established in 2003 that provides educational scholarships and mentorship to underprivileged students, primarily funded through Zakat and community contributions.

We are committed to eradicating illiteracy and providing quality modern education among underprivileged students of the Muslim community who would otherwise remain deprived. We believe that no child should be deprived of quality education because of financial hardship.

Our members are Alhamdulillah all well-settled professionals, academicians, entrepreneurs, and socially committed individuals who serve voluntarily, with no personal, political, or financial vested interests. United by a shared sense of responsibility, we work as a coherent unit to create opportunities that empower individuals, strengthen families, and contribute to the long-term development of the community.

Working primarily through Zakat, Sadaqah, and community contributions, we provide educational scholarships and academic support to students from economically weaker Muslim families, enabling them to pursue school, higher, and professional education with dignity and confidence.

We believe that education is the most sustainable investment in society. We are not merely supporting students — we are nurturing dreams, strengthening families, and building a more educated, self-reliant, and empowered community for generations to come.

"It is an honour to serve as the President of Parvaaz Foundation, a community movement that has, for more than two decades, stood beside deserving students whose dreams were threatened by financial hardships."

What deeply moved me to join this mission is its silent yet extraordinary impact. Behind every scholarship is a story of courage. Behind every educated child is a family whose future has changed. Hundreds of deserving students have received educational support through Parvaaz, enabling many to pursue careers in medicine, engineering, education, healthcare, management, and other professional fields. Their success is a reminder that when society invests in education, it invests in its own future.

Parvaaz Foundation represents the true spirit of community responsibility. Built entirely by volunteers and sustained through the trust of generous donors, it transforms Zakat, sadaqah, and charitable giving into opportunities that restore hope and dignity. Every contribution of yours is an Amanah, a sacred trust that is carefully invested in the education of deserving Muslim Students.

"Allah will raise those who have believed among you and those who have been given knowledge by degrees." — Surah Al-Mujādilah 58:11

We aspire to expand the movement beyond Lucknow, strengthen partnerships with educational institutions and community organizations, embrace innovation, and ensure that no deserving student is deprived of quality education because of financial circumstances.

I extend my heartfelt gratitude to every donor, volunteer, mentor, and well-wisher who has stood with Parvaaz Foundation over the years and made this journey possible.

With warm regards,
Prof. Dr. Kauser Usman

"Education has the power to transform lives, families, and entire communities. As a Founder Member and Secretary of Parvaaz Foundation, I have witnessed this transformation firsthand."

What is even more encouraging is the generational change this movement has created. Many of the girls we supported over the years are today educated mothers who are able to provide a better quality of life for their families. They place greater emphasis on their children's education, health, and overall well-being, creating a positive cycle that extends far beyond one individual. This is the true impact of education that transforms not just one life, but generations to come.

While these achievements inspire us, much remains to be done. Thousands of children, particularly girls, continue to face barriers to education due to financial hardship and social challenges.

At Parvaaz Foundation, our volunteers work closely with communities, families, schools, and local leaders to identify deserving students and ensure that support reaches those who need it most. This grassroots approach has been the cornerstone of our work for over two decades.

Alhamdulillah, with the generous support of our donors and well-wishers, we have helped more than 15,000 students continue their education. Every student supported represents a story of hope, perseverance, and opportunity.

Parvaaz Foundation is entirely volunteer-driven and funded through Zakat and Sadaqah, ensuring that every contribution directly benefits students.

Alongside our Zakat Scholarship Program, the Parvaaz Path Shala (PPS) initiative provides academic support to underprivileged children while creating mentoring opportunities for educated youth. We invite individuals and organizations to partner with us by supporting a PPS centre and helping expand educational opportunities for those who need them most.

I extend my sincere gratitude to our donors, volunteers, mentors, and supporters. Together, we are empowering young minds, strengthening families, strengthening our community, and ensuring that no deserving child is denied education due to financial constraints.

Our Methodology

Beyond Financial Aid

Beyond Financial Aid: Mentorship & Counseling

Mentorship & Counseling

Parvaaz doesn't just distribute checks — it acts as a continuous support system through career counseling, parent engagement, and constant motivation to prevent school dropouts.

Our volunteers track academic progress, maintain minimum attendance and marks thresholds, and regularly visit families — ensuring that every scholarship translates into a completed education, not just a fee receipt.

Our Journey

20+ Years of Impact

Founded in 2003 in Lucknow, Parvaaz Foundation started with a simple idea: that no student should drop out of school due to lack of funds. What began as a small group of friends contributing to pay for a few students' fees has now grown into a movement supporting over 15,000 students.

We act as a platform for mobilizing human and material resources to aid the marginalized. Our volunteers work tirelessly to verify genuine cases and ensure that every rupee donated reaches a deserving student.
